Tech Tip: Windows Vista Hidden Directory
Question:
I deleted default.tpx as described in this Tech Tip:
http://www.censoft.com/support/kb/?p=144.
But when I start TinyTERM again, the connection settings I had
before are still there.
Answer:
This happens on Windows Vista and Windows 7. Those operating
systems back up important files in case of accidental deletion. This
includes TinyTERM's .tpx files.
The backup copies are kept in a special directory:
C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Local\VirtualStore\Program Files\Century
(<username> is the login name of the user who deleted the
files.) Delete the backup copies as well. The next time you start
TinyTERM, the connection settings will be back to default settings.
